The SIKHAY Sewers

Rose Verano, Josie Avelino, Cheche Ozawa, and Gina Andrade are four SIKHAY sewers who have similarly found refuge in DAWN.  As entertainers in Japan, each has her own pains from past traumatic experiences on sexual abuse, abandonment, and distressed financial status.

However, those were the days for these women. Through DAWN’s intervention, they now earn a decent living as sewers of skirts, dresses, and blouses.  These women who used to cry over problems are now confident mothers armed with courage to face all odds.
