PTRI caters to the manpower development of the garment and textile industry, allied cottage, small and medium scale industries, entrepreneurs and the unemployed that will ensure reliable and efficient work performance, production and increase employment.  Upon request, the Institute conducts seminars and workshops in-house and in the regions. 

• In-house courses/on-the-job training on textile processing and quality assurance are conducted utilizing actual production machineries. Fees are charged to the participants depending on the coverage of the course.

• The proponent of the seminar/workshops in the regions is required to shoulder the transportation and food/accommodation of trainers in addition to the cost of chemicals and use of workshop facilities.

• The training courses based on continuous Training Needs Analysis have significantly contributed to improved production and quality, decrease in the country's unemployment rate and in the generation of additional dollar earnings.

• Students, entrepreneurs, out-of-school youth, traders, merchandisers and other related groups may also avail of these services.
