MOA Signing between PTRI & TKC

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed on March 28, 2007 between the Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI) and the Transcontinental Knitting Corporation (TKC) for the development of knitting yarns made from natural fibers suitable for shirting materials.

Prototype knitting yarns from piña fibers blended with cotton fibers will be developed by PTRI within a two-month period.  Three blend ratios will be processed, consisting of 50/50, 60/40, and 70/40 (cotton/piña).
