The Standardization activity aims to promote the national adoption of standards for locally produced textiles to protect consumer rights. 

• In coordination with the Bureau of Product Standards, the consumers, garment and textile sectors, PTRI is developing and formulating textile standards for implementation by all manufacturers.
•  It maintains registry of textile related standards specifically, test methods, performance specifications, sampling, and terminologies which are for sale to interested parties.
