(TVEI) Maragondon, Cavite, through the DOST-PCAARRD funded project entitled "Field Verification of the Bamboo Textile Material Production and Treatment Technology."
The Institute collaborated with Terra Verde Ecofarm Inc. (TVEI), an integrated eco-farm focused on natural farming technology, Integrated Diversified Organic Farming System (IDOFS), and integrated agritourism duly accredited by the Department of Tourism and Bamboo Production Training Center.
The establishment of the third Bamboo Textile Fiber Innovation Hub in Maragondon, Cavite, aims to validate the performance of the Bamboo Textile Fiber Extraction Machine developed by DOST-PTRI.
These hubs create job opportunities for local communities, boost technological advancements, and promote the export of their sustainably produced textiles to markets globally.
DOST-PTRI recently launched the BTFIH in Naguilian, La Union, and Cauayan, Isabela.
